In The Same Boat, a Norwegian organisation that received a donation in December 2023 in the environmental & conservation category, tackles marine litter by mobilising volunteers to clean remote coastlines and protect fragile ecosystems. Joining their flagship vessel Qilak, volunteers like Chris from the UK, take on demanding physical work - collecting plastic waste, cooking, cleaning, and living together as a crew, while also experiencing the beauty of Norwegian nature and culture. Building trust with local communities is central to In The Same Boat's mission: raising awareness and inspiring lasting engagement in the fight against plastic pollution.
