International Rivers, one of our 4 monthly OG Giving donations, hosted an important webinar spotlighting powerful stories and strategies for protecting and restoring the world’s rivers. Highlighting legal victories, dam removals, and the crucial role of Indigenous and community-led action, the event offered a welcome sense of optimism and practical guidance for environmental advocates. Speakers shared landmark successes such as Albania’s Vjosa River National Park and the removal of dams on the Klamath River in the U.S., alongside inspiring examples like Peru’s Marañón River gaining legal personhood.
