The Sloth Conservation Foundation protects sloths and their habitats in Costa Rica where urban development threatens their survival. Through projects like the Urban Sloth Project, they track wild sloths to understand how city life affects their health. Their Connected Gardens programme links fragmented forests with wildlife corridors, while Sloth Crossings - canopy bridges - allow safe passage over roads. The Project also works to insulate power lines, prevent electrocutions, and restore habitat through reforestation, always in collaboration with local communities.
